Hello!
Hope everyone's weekend treated them well....we had a nice relaxing one before school starts back tomorrow and the crazy schedule comes back! But it'll be good to get back to normal routine, although sleeping in has been nice!
Today's card is for the Simon says stamp Monday challenge, to use something old and new together.
Today's card is for the Simon says stamp Monday challenge, to use something old and new together.
I was playing with some old stamps I had from Sweet Stamp Shop, and although this flower stamp is retired, they have lots of other great stamp sets, I have a few of them and plan on playing more! :)
I decided to create a friendship card using a sentiment from this Lawn Fawn set I got over Christmas. I used my stitched circle die from My Favorite things to cut out a window on the front of my card. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine ink and clear embossed.
The pattern paper circle is a scrap I've had for a million years, I think it looks nice on this card!
I stamped the flower with Memento Tuxedo black ink for the outline, then Close to My Heart Cranberry ink for the solid part. For the leaves, which are part of the Lawn Fawn set, I colored them in with New England Ivy from Close to My heart.
Here's a close up of the flower. I used foam adhesive to raise it a bit.
The 'thank you' is also from the Lawn Fawn set I mentioned earlier.
Thanks for visiting and be sure to follow me to stay updated on all my new design team assignments.....I have a lot of them and some great projects coming up.
Have a great day! :)
