Hello! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend....it's definitely feeling like fall here in Ohio....it was chilly today!
So yesterday was my husband's birthday and I had made him a card, however, I felt it was girly, so I made him another one, this time with more masculine colors.
I embossed the green sheet with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then got my other supplies together to stamp and color in the cake.
The stamp set is from Stampendous, and the markers are copic.
The colors I used were:
B00, B02, B05, Y02, Y06, E40, E41
I'm still new to coloring with copics, but I think the cake turned out pretty good.
Then I embossed the sentiment with some black and glitter embossing powder.
I cut out the cake and adhered it with some foam tape to give it dimension and used some yellow stickles on the candle. I really like how this one turned out:
That's it for tonight, please share my blog with your friends....I'd love to get some more traffic and get my name out there in the blog world!
Have a great rest of the weekend! :)
Happy Birthday to your hubby! Love the texture you added in your card. So much you can do to your embossing folder - try inking on one (inside) side and embossing white cardstock for a letterpress technique :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! Thanks, Margie, I'll have to try it. Thanks for visiting my blog too! :)
