Sparkle Tree Card and Video!

Happy Wednesday!  :)

Today I am sharing another Christmas card and YouTube video.  I am using my favorite Christmas tree stamp from Hero Arts, and I used green embossing powder with red glitter for a beautiful shine.  The background is a great diagonal striped background stamp from My Favorite Things.  I stamped with embossing ink and clear embossed for a great tone on tone look.

I aged the white cardstock with some Antique Linen distress ink and mounted it on green cardstock.  The sentiment is an old Hero Arts one, which I love, and the gems are Hero Arts too.  I finished with a bow of red embroidery thread.  All in all this card took me less than 10 minute, which I love.  :)

Please be sure to check out my YouTube video of this card, too.  :)

Thanks for visiting and be sure to follow me to get all my updates!  Lots more cards to come!

Have a great day! :)

Trick or Treat card-Candy inspired!

Happy Monday!

Today I am taking part in Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge which is to create something that is candy inspired!  So I looked through Halloween stamps and found this cute trick or treating bear, I think it's an Angel Company stamp, and this trick or treat sentiment, which I think was a dollar stamp from Michael's.  I also had this candy corn stamp which I used as a border, clear embossing it on the black.  I stamped everything in black pigment ink and clear embossed, then got to coloring on the bear.

The Copic colors I used are:

E33, E35, R00, Y08, YR04, YR07, W5

I stamped out 3 individual candy corns, too, and adhered them with foam adhesive for some dimension.  I used some orange twine to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and please stop by again!  :)

Sledding Bears Card

Hello!  Hope everyone had a great fall weekend....we sure did.  We had GORGEOUS fall weather here in SW Ohio, so we were outside most of the time!  But I was missing playing with my stamps, so I made a card tonight.  :)

I'm using a Christmas set from Inkadinkadoo that I got at Michael's today (gotta love 40% off!) and just loved these sledding bears.  :)

I stamped the bears with Avery Elle sapphire pigment ink and clear embossed.  I used my Copics to color the rest of the image.  The colors I used were:

C1, C0, R24, R27, E24, and E29

I used the circle stitched dies from My Favorite Things ( I LOVE THESE) to die cut the image.

This set also had this cute snowflake stamp, so I stamped on the top and bottom of the card with embossing ink and white embossed.  I really like it on the dark cardstock.  Then I adhered my bears to the cardstock with foam tape and put the blue piece on a white notecard.  Quick and Easy.  :)

That's it for tonight....I plan on making another blog post tomorrow so see ya then!  :)

My Favorite Things die and super quick card

It was a happy mail day here....I got an order from My Favorite Things today and my free gift was this adorable tree die and merry sentiment.

I was immediately inspired to do something with this die. I thought, why not use some scraps for the tree! So off I went looking for paper scraps.  :)

I ran everything through my Xyron so they would be adhered well.  I wrote 'Christmas' freehand.

I  used foam adhesive on the kraft paper and the red patterned paper to adhere it to a red notecard.

I really like how it turned out, and it was took literally 10 minutes.  I was just so excited about it, I had to share.  :)

Have a good night!  :)

Merry Christmas Penguin Card

Happy Hump day!  :)

I am back with a quick card today....I wanted to do one of the challenges over at

and this Wednesday's challenge was to use kraft in a card.  I had bought this adorable penguin stamp yesterday at Michael's (because one can never have too many stamps, am I right??), and wanted to use my Copics to color.

The colors I used were:

R24, R27, G05, G07, YR15, YR16, C0, C1

I had this cute printed kraft paper in a pack from Joann's, so I used that and added white dots to the black flowers using a white gel pen.

The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set, and I stamped with black pigment ink and clear embossed.  I finished with some red twine.  I think it turned out very cute for a quick card.  :)

That's all for today.....have a good one!  :)

Cute snowman card and video!

Hello everyone!  I'm back with another card and video.  The only reason I have a lot of time to make cards this week is because I'm on vacation from work....LOL...and I am LOVING it.  Why can't I be independently wealthy so I can stay home and do what I love?

Anyway.....today's card is so much fun....and so cute!  I even made my own glitter paper, and it's so easy!  But first I embossed the snowflake background in white and inked the background with broken China distress inks.  Love how it turned out.

All the stamps I am using are from Hero Arts, including this cute snowman.  I colored him with Copic markers.  The Colors I used are:

R27, R24, G05, C0, C1

To make the glitter paper, I simply applied embossing ink all over a piece of paper, then embossed with a sparkle embossing powder.  Then I punched it out with a 3" scallop punch. LOVE.

Finally I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used some cute silver flower rhinestones.  I thought they looked like snowflakes.  :)   Adhering everything to the card with foam tape and pop dots for dimension.  I really like how this card turned out.  :)

And here is the video of the card.  Hope you enjoy it and stop by again!  :)

Have a great night! :)

Quick and Easy tree card and video!

Happy Monday!

I am back today with another card and video...I am really trying to get the hang of the video thing, and I think this one looks pretty good.  Except I am saying 'um' too much in it.  Oops!

Anyway, today's card is a very pretty gold embossed Christmas tree.  I also used some antique linen distress ink to border the tree.

The green cardstock is distress paper, meaning that it distresses easily.  It's a kraft core paper, which I love.  So I lightly sanded the edges for some distressing.

Lastly, I placed some tan pearls around the card for interest.  This card took me about 6 minutes to do.  Love quick and easy, and so pretty too!

Here is the video of the card:

Whimsy Stamps Design Team Call!

Hi again, everyone!

I am excited to be applying for the Whimsy Stamps design team call!

I have just found out about this company, and the stamps and dies on this site are just adorable. Lots of opportunities for Copic coloring, which I LOVE to do!  I would love an opportunity to be on this team, not only to share my love of papercrafting and card making, but to also get better at coloring with Copic markers.  I have invested a small fortune in these darn markers, I better use them, am I right?  ;)

So although I don't have any of the wonderful stamps and dies at Whimsy (although I will look around the online site and make a wish list!),  I am attaching a card I made a while back showcasing my Copic coloring.

I am very excited about this, and I hope I am chosen!  :)

Thanks for consdering me, Whimsy Stamps!

Have a great day!

Stampendous Santa!

Happy Sunday!

Wanted to share a quick card I made last weekend at my scrapbook retreat...it's a stamp set from Stampendous and this Santa is just so stinkin' cute!  :)  I am using a watercolor technique with distress inks to color him in.

I started out by stamping the Santa in black pigment ink, then clear embossing to give it a shine.

The colors of distress inks I used on this card are:

Salty Ocean
Tattered Rose
Festive Berries
Mowed Lawn
Gathered Twigs
Black Soot

and for the white I used Avery Elle white ink.

I just used regular cardstock for this, although watercolor paper would have worked better, but I didn't have any with me at the retreat.  But it still looks very nice.

I mounted him on black cardstock and adhered with foam adhesive.  Using a scrap of Christmas patterned paper, I adhered all of it to a red notecard.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment in black pigmnent ink and clear embossed.

This card did take some time to complete, because of all the coloring, but it was worth it because he is just so cute.  :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another card and video, so please subscribe to my

YouTube channel so you don't miss anything!

Happy Sunday!  :)

Holly Christmas card and video

Happy Friday!

Today I have a quick and easy card that is easily done in less than 10 minutes and would be very easy to mass produce for your Christmas Cards.  I am using the Holly Christmas set from Close to My Heart, I've had this set for years and have used it a lot.  It's a very versatile set.

I stamped the holly leaves in Avery Elle Celery pigment ink and clear embossed.  I stamped the holly berries in Avery Elle Cherry pigment ink and clear embossed also.

I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear embossed that also.  I then punched it out with a 1 1/2" scallop circle punch and used a 2" scallop punch to punch a scrap piece of black cardstock.  I adhered the scalloped circles with foam tape for some dimension. I used a scrap of red cardstock for the bottom of the card and there you go.  Quick and easy.

I also made a video about this card.  Please check it out and give it a like!  :)  Also please subscribe to my YouTube channel to stay updated on my videos.  I plan on getting a video camera soon to make my videos look more 'professional'.  :)

Thanks for visiting and have a great day! :)

Snowman card

Hello!

Well, I am back from my girls weekend and boy did we have fun....but oh so tired!  We always stay up way too late scrapping and stamping the night away, and it usually takes me a couple of days to recover.  But I did want to share a card I did this weekend.

This is Tim Holtz's blueprint snowman stamp.  I bought it recently and it comes with dies too, so it's great to show dimension on a card!  I also played with my copics on this card too.  Unfortunately, I didn't write down the numbers I was using!  Bad stamper!  But the white is made from the 'C' family of markers.

I stamped the snowman twice and die cut out the hat and scarf and after clear embossing the black ink and coloring with copics.  Adhered with foam pop dots.

The background is the 'W" family of copics, just blending the cool gray tones.

And after everything was down on the card, I wanted some sparkle, so I smeared some glitter glue on his body with my finger.  It worked great.

I really like how this turned out!

My plan is to do a video this week with another card I made this weekend so stay tuned!  :)

Have a good night!  :)

Halloween card and video!

Hello!  Thanks for visiting today....today I have a very simple Halloween card I made literally from paper scraps.  I started with a black card and a scrap of orange and black paper.  I used one of the dies from the Avery Elle custom panel set to cut the orange paper for an interesting look:

The stamps I am using are old stamps from the dollar bin at Michael's.
To color the pumpkin I used Copic markers.  the colors I used were

YR02, YR04, YR07, Y02, Y06, E18

I colored the regal die cut with black soot distress ink and then adhered the pumpkin on with foam tape.  I then used white embossing powder to do emboss the sentiment.

I think this was a very cute card and it took me literally 5 minutes to do!  :)

I made another video showing how to make this card and you can view that here:

Thanks again for visiting and have a great day!  :)

Another birthday card...

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a nice weekend....it's definitely feeling like fall here in Ohio....it was chilly today!

So yesterday was my husband's birthday and I had made him a card, however, I felt it was girly, so I made him another one, this time with more masculine colors.

I embossed the green sheet with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then got my other supplies together to stamp and color in the cake.

The stamp set is from Stampendous, and the markers are copic.
The colors I used were:

B00, B02, B05, Y02, Y06, E40, E41

I'm still new to coloring with copics, but I think the cake turned out pretty good.

Then I embossed the sentiment with some black and glitter embossing powder.

I cut out the cake and adhered it with some foam tape to give it dimension and used some yellow stickles on the candle.  I really like how this one turned out:

That's it for tonight, please share my blog with your friends....I'd love to get some more traffic and get my name out there in the blog world!

Have a great rest of the weekend! :)

Birthday card Friday!

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a good week.....today is my husband's birthday and I decided to make him a card, but this card looks way too girly for him so I'll do another one, but wanted to share this one because I like the way it turned out!  :)

First I started with this cute cupcake stamp from Hero Arts and this super cute doodle cupcake and sentiment from Stephanie Ackerman for Purple Onion Designs

I decided to use my watercolor pencils and waterbrush to color in the cupcake.

I stamped the cupcake background onto the red cardstock with Versamark ink and then clear embossed for a great tone on tone look.  I mounted the cut out doodle cupcake with foam squares onto some yellow cardstock, black embossed the sentiment and Viola!  A cute birthday card.  Think I'll keep this one for a kids birthday and make my husband a more masculine card.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  :)
