{{{HAPPY NEW YEAR}}}

Happy New Year to all my online scrappy friends throughout the world!

We still have about 6 1/2 hours until we hit the new year here in Ohio, so I had time to make a quick new year's card using my December Simon Says Stamp card kit and a Hero Arts 'new year' stamp.

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge...using SSS products!  :)

Quick card, it's all embossing!  I used Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I did kind of make a mess with the glue on my sequins, but oh well.  LOL

I am so looking forward to 2015, I have new design teams I will be working with and I hope to do a lot more card making, scrapbooking, and paper crafting in the new year!

Have a great night, be safe, and see you soon!  :)

Sharing my Doodlebug Design Team entry

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a great post Christmas week....we still have 1 more week until the kids go back to school, so we're in major chill mode here.  But I did want to share my entry in the Doodlebug Design team call that was in November.  I LOVE Doodlebug products, always have (and always will!), and I reeeaaallllyyy wanted to make this design team.  I felt I did some of my best work on my entry, but, alas, I didn't make the team.  :(  I actually was sad for about a day.....but I guess I gotta get over it and move on, huh?

Anyway....here's my entry.  It was 2 layouts, 2 cards, and a mini album, all using Doodlebug products.

Here is a video of my entry and below that are photos of my entry.

First is the 2 layouts:

Next is the 2 cards....I did a birthday and a Christmas, using all Doodlebug products:

And finally I did a mini album of a trip to the zoo....love, love, love how colorful it is:

Paper Smooches-You're a Hoot

Hello!

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas....we sure did....lots of laughs and family time.  But I missed playing with my crafty stuff so I thought I'd do a challenge over at the

All the images on this card are from their freebie digi images...isn't this owl darling??

This is a pretty simple card....I colored the owl with Copics (E25, E29, YR16, E00), as well as the branch.  I also added some Wink of Stella shimmer pen to the eyes and the white circles on the patterned paper.  This was a scrap from a Stampin Up Christmas sheet.

The sentiment is also a digi freebie....and I outlined it with a gold gel pen.

Pretty easy card!

Have a great day and be sure to follow me to get all my updates in the new year!  :)

Final Christmas card of 2014!

Happy Christmas Eve!

I hope everyone is enjoying their time with family and friends today....we are off to my uncle's Christmas party at his nursing home.  Since he can't get out too often, we bring the party to him.  :)

But first, here is my final Christmas card of this season.  I have really enjoyed making and sharing all the cards (I started posting them right after Halloween!), and I thank all of you for the kind comments and visits to my blog.  I just started my blog in September of this year, and I am thankful for all the visits and the followers I have, and I hope to continue to grow in 2015!  My goal for the new year is to get to at least 100 followers, so tell all your crafty friends to visit and follow me!  I'm thinking a giveaway to my 100th follower....Lord knows I have enough stuff to spare a RAK!  ;)

Anyway, here is the last card for this season....and it was so quick and easy!  I embossed the front of the notecard, then used some paper scraps and a stamped tree from Hero Arts.

I clear embossed the tree several times to get that enameled look, then, of course, used my My Favorite Things stitched circle dies to mount the tree with pop dots.

The Merry Christmas stamp is from Purple Onion designs (I think!).  If I'm mistaken, please let me know!

I'll be back after Christmas with some new projects....until then,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Santa Card

Hello!

With Christmas being the day after tomorrow, I thought I'd share a few cards I made but never put up here on my blog.  I'll do a post today and then a post on Christmas Eve with my final Christmas card of 2014.

Today's card is from a cute set I got at Michael's, and I just love this Santa.  I colored him with Copics.

For the background I used a holly berry embossing folder, then inked it all with Mowed Lawn distress ink.  I colored the berries with R24 Copic.  I like the texture I got with this.

I die cut out the Santa with a My Favorite Things stitched circle die ( I use those ALL THE TIME), and matted it with the next size up circle.

And I made my own banner for the sentiment with a scrap of red.

Overall not a bad card....didn't take too much time.

Have a great day and see you tomorrow! :)

Gift Card holders

Hello!

I officially finished up my Christmas shopping with buying some gift cards for stocking stuffers.  Now, I know I could just put them in the stockings and be done, but that wouldn't be crafty, now would it?  ;)

A few years ago I bought a gift card die from A Muse Studio and have never used it.  Well it got a workout tonight!  I made 4 gift card cards, using scraps of paper and some SNAP Simple Stories 3x4 cards.  I have plenty of those since I ACCIDENTALLY BOUGHT 2 PACKS OF THEM.   But they are so cute I don't care.  LOL

The 'a gift from me to you' stamp is from Lawn Fawn.

So here are the gift card cards!  :)

Have a great day! :)

Penny Black Snowman

Hello!

I just realized it has been about 6 days since my last blog post....yikes!  But I've been busy getting ready for Christmas, and now I think I'm ready.  :)

Today's card is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where we are to be inspired by winter and showcasing Penny Black products.   I just love this cute snowman from Penny Black, and he was fun to color!  I also die cut out the image and a backing with 2 sizes of a Sizzix regal die.

The background I used a Hero Arts stamp and versamark ink.

Here's a closeup of the snowman:

I added some glossy accents to his pom pom and trim on the hat.

Finally, I should have stamped the sentiment and embossed with white, but I had an accident with my white embossing powder.   I DROPPED IT AND IT SPILLED.  Disaster!!  LOL  So I had to vaccuum it up and I'll buy new.  An excuse to go shopping, right??  So here's what I did instead:

We all make mistakes, right??  LOL

Thanks for visiting and be sure to follow me for more card ideas in the new year!  :)

Candy Cane Snowman

 Hello!

Hope everyone is doing well!  I am happy to say I have all my Christmas shopping done AND wrapped...I am proud of myself!  The kids are off school for 2 weeks starting Monday so it needed done.  Anyhoo.....

today's card is for the final Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge of the year, which is anything goes!  Can you believe 2015 is right around the corner??

I just love this little guy....he's from Inky Antics and I love him.  :)

I colored him and the candy cane with Copic markers, then die cut it out with a My Favorite things stitched rectangle die.  And I used versamark and clear embossing powder on the snowflakes on the background.

I then stamped and clear embossed the sentiment on a scrap strip of patterned paper.

I love playing along with these challenges over at Simon, won't you play, too?

Have a great day!  :)

Tag with some added bling!

Hello!

Today's project is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where it calls for bling!  :)

So I repurposed my Paper Smooches tag from a few weeks ago ( you can see that post here)  and added some Wink of Stella glitter pen and I love the results.  I'll be doing this to more tags for sure!  :)

It's hard to photograph the wink of stella, but I think you get the idea:

I know, quick post for today, but I gotta get some presents wrapped before the kids are off for Christmas break next week and I ran out of tape!  Arrgh!!

Have a good day!  :)

"Wishing you...." sleigh card

Hello!

Today's card is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, which is to be inspired by transportation.  And there's no more festive transportation than a sleigh! :)

This set is an old set from CTMH called Victorian Christmas.  I stamped it in CTMH Cranberry ink and used paper scraps for the rest!

The 'Wishing you' sentiment is from another CTMH set, and the inside says, 'a merry little Christmas'.  I clear embossed those.

Finally added a little 'bling' to the card by using some Hero Arts gems.

A very pretty and quick and easy card!  :)

Have a good day!  :)

Muse Challenge #97

Today's card is for the Muse Challenge #97.  Here is the original card to be inspired from:

I decided to go Christmas and with a big, bold sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

I stamped it in brown versafine ink and clear embossed, colored the holly with Copics, then distressed the whole thing with Antique Linen distress inks.

I really like how it turned out!

I used scraps of Christmas paper and used a stitched rectangle die to die cut both pieces.

Thanks for the inspiration and be sure to vote for my card when voting opens on Monday!  :)

Blog Planner video

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a good week....it's already Wednesday if you can believe it!  Things are crazy busy around here, but I did do a video today about my latest project, my blog planner.

I recently tried out for several challenge blog design teams, and I'm happy to say I made 4 of them!  :)  So with that lies new responsibilities and deadlines, so I decided to utilize a planner.

I decided to use something I already have, so I used this 8 1/2 x 11 binder I got at Archiver's like 2 years ago!  This was when the planner/smash book trend was first happening, so, of course, I had to buy it.  LOL  But now I am using it!  Better late than never, right?  ;)

It's a binder that has the calendar pages in it, I just had to stamp the numbers on them.  The papers and embellishments I am using are all Doodlebug.

Here's the cover:

And here is a sampling of the January calendar:

I really like how it turned out and I hope it will keep me organized in 2015 with all my DT assignments!  :)

Here's the video on my YouTube Channel.  Please subscribe to it to see all future videos!

See you soon!  :)

Muse Challenge #96 card

Hi, again!  :)

This card is for the Muse Challenge #96, which uses this card as inspiration:

I decided to go the non traditional colors route, using this cute penguin stamp from Hampton Arts.

I just love the flourish in the original card, so I cut one out of an old Sizzix die.  I edged the black cardstock with black glitter embossing powder....so shimmery!  I also added some glossy accents to his Santa hat fur.

I finished the card with an embossed sentiment and clear gems on the flourish.

Thanks for looking!  :)

Paper Smooches Candy Cane card

Hello!

Isn't this card just the cutest?  It's for the Paper Smooches Challenge blog, where you just have to create a card using a Paper Smooches product!  I chose this adorable candy cane and for you digi stamp, colored it with my Copics (R24 and R27).

The rest of the card is paper scraps!  This card is smaller than the standard A2 card, it's 3"x5", but will still fit nicely in an A2 envelope.  Here's a close up of the candy canes:

Hope your weekend was fantastic!  :)

Paper Smooches tag

Hello!

Tonight I have a quick post for the Paper Smooches Challenge blog using 2 of their free digi images.

The gifts and the 'for you' are free printables from their site so I made this cute tag to attach to a Christmas gift!

I die cut a tag and added white stitching lines and attached bakers twine and there you have a cute tag perfect for a gift!

I plan on doing more tags so I'll be sure to post them!

Have a good one!  :)
